Hey All,

Figured out this was the spot for the build threads, as you can see I'm not too familiar with the boards. So I have a 13 Silverado Z71 extended cab 5.3 truck that I picked up about 2 months ago to replace my 97 Yukon. Ive already done some work to it, Ive installed a Bilstien leveling kit, Fab Tech add a leaf, vent visors, splash guards, and hood deflector (all GM stuff), and a Gibson exhaust. Next up is gathering my parts to install OE fog lights, which I will make a parts list for since the kit is no longer available.

Here are some pics:

Sorry I got side tracked with a customer, I will post up the list of stuff as I gather it and do a nice write up in here for the fog light install. My plan is to hopefully be able to do this all OEM, although I'm sure it will be expensive I hope that it will be worth it. The only non-oe parts I will use will be hardware and bulbs, gonna look for a nice LED bulb for the fogs.

Thanks for looking,

Its a royal pain tracking down the OEM fog wiring harness since they stopped making them years ago. I just added a generic fog light harness to the OEM fog housings, cheap and easy and you couldn't tell if you hid the wiring.

And keep an eye out for a whole bumper, I scored one for $300 with the foglights and painted to match, which was easier than dealing with replacing the end caps and getting them painted.

I tracked down a foreword lamp harness, and I have chrome bumper so I wouldn't need it painted. Down side is the caps are 200 ish each. I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a complete bumper, everything around here is just rusty junk though.

Ill have most of the front end off of it to install the plow frame anyway so it shouldn't be too bad to install the harness by any means. Ive been thinking about painted caps for the truck too, but they seem to take a beating up here, and the chrome looks to hold up a little better.

Alright...Its been a while but I have been doing some work on the truck in between regular life. I finally have the g lamps done using all OE parts. Ill post them when I get some updated pictures of the truck on here. Also put on some new shoes, BFG T/A KO2's 285/65/18's, should be better for plowing when the time comes then the GY's that sucked in the rain. Other than that, just need to get the line-x sprayed in and I'm done for a little while.

Hope all is well with the board members.
