... will soften the rubber to get it off. Just make sure you don't stretch it too much, because you'll have an air flow leak. When in doubt, go take a breather and come back too it...I get pissed as well, and breaking those little plastic parts sends me through the roof ;)
Disregard. I'm a flippin moron. Didn't see the kit comes with a new breather hose to use. I didn't see it because they had it packaged with the weather stripping for the top of the airbox (Which was going to be my last step.
 Starting to get pissed. For the life of me, I can't get this plug out of the breather hose to then fir over the brass nipple on the CAI tube. This is like a hard plastic hose, not your typical radiator stlye. Any suggestions? http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j49/Chesh97/IMG_20130503_131339_186_zps5912f53a.jpg
... that mess up the pressure on your valves? Sounds scary to me.... I wouldnt recommend doing that at all... /facepalm Its not a vacuum line. Its a breather. ... 3.1 MPFI in my now deceased 93 lumina. The PCV valve was located from the rear rocker cap to the plenum, not too many issues there, however the breather tube from the front rocker cap to the air intake (between the filter and the TB) caused oil to pool in the air intake. The oil was drawn in ...
Think the hardest part was getting the factory breather hose off but all you needed was a flat screwdriver and a little tug and in my case, something to stand on. LOL
... you must unclip the radiator hose from the factory intake assembly. This last bit isn't in the factory directions. Hoses.jpg Unplug the factory breather hose from the intake. At this point you can loosen and remove the clamp at the airbox, and take the factory intake out. You are now ready to ...
... to let them know. 97k miles on the truck/drivetrain. No noise, no vibrations, no humming, nothing. This is a super clean truck. I also checked the breather hose/vent/line when doing the first seal and it was fine. Very clean, could blow through the hose/vent with my mouth. I even ran some thin ...
