Yeah I think it's a requirement that the pads be stamped. I should probably check my brakes. My brake pedal is soft, almost makes me nervous at times in the city when I have to slam the brakes. But I guess older Chevys just brake like that? Our 2012 Silverado 3500HD can stop on a damn dime.

... as the Wagners I'll run Wagners and have much less dust and noise with the same stopping power. As a last resort I'll pull my front brakes off and check the pads to see if it is posted on the pads themselves.

That doesn't sound right... not sure on the bumper end caps, but the door handle thing sounds messed up. Why would only black or chrome be available?

I'd check another dealership or check online....
