... complete my 'break-in' maintenance. Any gotchas? It looks like there would be clearance, but I have read instructions that talk about loosening a converter or disconnecting some cable mount. Anyone know if I really have to do any of these things on my truck? Thanks
I'd get a wiring diagram and see what the common connection is. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's an ignition switch that is bad. To get a better answer, I'd reccomend pm'ing member/masterem88/ . He rebuilds transmissions for a living.

... 66,000 miles. I've had this problem since almost new,unfortunately it only had the 12 month 12k mile warranty and started after that. The Torque converter unlocks and locks with the windshield wipers on.It has always only done it with the wipers on,I seldom ever get caught in the rain with it ...

its interesting that it doesnt do it in tow haul. i believe though im not sure, that tow haul locks the torque converter to prevent overheating (though ive also heard it only changes shift points.) its possible that the tq converter isnt full up and is causing slippage.

... day an it just threw itself in neutral so it seemed.... it has park but has no reverse drive and 1st 2nd 3rd hear......I thought it was the torque converter so I replaced it and it didn't fix the problem. I got a code scanner and it says torque converter clutch solenoid circuit what is this??
