2.73 on the back of the transmission?? do you mean on the 4wd transfer case, maybe? sounds to me like you might have seen the t/case data plate that tells you your 4wd low-range ratio. if so, that has nothing to do with your normal rear axle gear ratio. a tuner may adjust your shift points ...
