When you say low fuel economy, what exactly are you saying? I have basically that same truck, and while I have added over-sized tires and have always driven it like I stole it, even on a nice long trip to Oregon, I only averaged 16.5 ...
... bought. V8 or V6? I like what you've done so far, and just remember that long boxes look great lifted  Thanks! It's a V6. I needed 4x4, fuel economy, and something to pull a small john boat/haul camping and hunting gear. I'm really satisfied. The lift is coming haha!
... a cold air intake and I'm guessing a tuner box. Is it possible he just removed the accessories and didn't restore the factory settings? The fuel economy is low and engine response just isn't crisp like it should be. Could these be symptoms and can the settings be restored?
Been a while since I have updated. I just rolled over 10k miles on the odometer. I have been getting just at or a hair better then 12 mpg around town. I have not done a long distance tank that I wasn't towing something so mot sure on the Highway miles, but 12 is a huge improvement over the 9 and 10 ...
... My best mileage ever has only been about 1/2 mile per gallon better on a straight highway trip. Overall I have to say how disappointing the fuel economy on this engine is. If I had known it was this bad I would certainly have purchased a truck with the 5.3L or maybe even the 6.0L for better power ...

I get well over 20... well over. But small truck, 255/70/r16s nothing jacked up creating extra resistance. My ...
... I also have a cai coming for it. I am leaning towards the Borla Sport 19131347. I am deaf now, so I am more worried about performance and fuel economy than I am about sound. That being said, I still definitely want a nice growl but not obnoxiously loud and without a lot of cab drone. I also ...
... the problem being afm related. People using products from tunes to the range have largely reported that disabling afm often leads to minimal fuel economy loss and many reporting gains. Different driving styles different results. All of these things have factored to form my opinion that if I were ...
... over 285's. I might try the nitto Tera grappler. I would like to level it and put 305/65/18 next. But then I'm getting into really affecting fuel economy. But now that I have hijacked my own thread, I think putting the leveling kit back in is in the future. :)
