Re: Installing a Double DIN into a 2013 Silverado Advice Nee

Great info in this thread guys, thanks for posting so much detail.
I'm considering upgrading my 13 CC as well, but just not sure yet if I'm ready to commit the effort needed. Like previous poster said, I know the end result I want, I'm still figuring out how to get there but this is a huge help.

Re: Strange Steering Issue

To the original poster it is the steering box replace it and it will fix your prob. Not too bad of a job just make sure you have a Pitman arm puller. I have 2 98k1500s had to replace steering boxes on both of them i hated that feeling ...

Re: Draining torque converter

... shut engine off . This will remove most oil from the trans and pan +1 on all of this. I'm not big on having the transmission flushed like another poster suggested.

Re: Cause she's a woman!

... repaired with OE parts would make it "fair" condition, but good was about a $1000 drop in value while fair was about $2000. As another poster recommended, i filed a claim for the loss in value....haven't heard back on that one yet (its only been a couple days). By the way, what class ...

Different seats: need help with airbag wiring

Long time lurker, First time poster. I recently bought a 2004 GMC base model, single cab. 5.3L, 4x4, no P/W or P/L from my brother-in-law. He installed a set of front seats out of another truck. He believes the seats were out of a 2002 ...

Re: Tire and MPG Question

Don't think you'll have that big a drop. The tire weight won't be significantly different and the size change is small. I can understand the above poster's drop with the Duratrac, as those in any size are basically made of lead (and the tread wears like it too!). Also to take into account - for ...

Re: Electrical Issues 07 NBS

You said nbs. The 07.5 is nnbs. 2007 nbs reads the same as 2007 classic. Im on tapatalk I cant see the poster info or signatures.. To be extremely clear about it. In 2007 you could buy both nbs or nnbs. The older model in a split year is referred to as classic. 99.5-2007classic ...
