Re: My Observations after Owning for 3 months

1 Yes this is annoying, GM has programmed it this way for mileage. Keep the RPMS low be short shifting to the next higher gear. I have learned how to make mine shift the way I want it with throttle control but it takes awhile to learn it. 2 The Range AFM killer cleaned ...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

I got Lew to retune my InTune and change my first two shifts. It was shifting hard, so he softened the shifts. So far, so good.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

... AFM disable, left the transmission stock ( i like the way it shifts) and took it for a drive. It's running so much better without the V4 drone and shifting back and forth to V8 and the throttle response is great. Love it so far.

Re: 2007 new style 4low problems

... it will blink for like 10 sec i wanna say and if the conditions arent met in those 10 seconds it will cancel the request. now if you meet the shifting criteria and then it starts the shift and you put it in drive before the light goes solid..... then you will run into problems.

Re: Exhaust Beware

... my truck. Personally, I feel that AFM has it's benefits. It worked flawlessly and was hardly noticeable unless you were really trying to feel it shifting. My mpg stays over 20 and can easily get as high as 23 depending on how I drive. You can't beat that with 320+ horsepower in a crew cab 4x4 ...

Re: Towing Travel Trailer, What Settings Should My Truck Be

... same set-up as the O.P. I kept it in drive with tow haul enguaged all the time. You use alittle more fuel, but it keeps your tranny from excessive shifting looking for the right gear on hills and such. Shouldn't have any problems with the tranny temp. I never once got my temp over 210 and that ...

Re: Towing Travel Trailer, What Settings Should My Truck Be

... it was really flat and I was trying to up my MPG's by letting it stay in 6th gear. If you choose to run it without "tow/haul" and it's shifting a lot in & out of gears while cruising then I would watch your transmission temp. If it's rising then engage "tow/haul" to help ...
