I did not remove my door speaker. I wired mine from the inside of the truck out, and pushed enough wire into the door to feel around and grab. I was really hoping that wasn't what you did lol I soldered on longer cabling and put heat ...
Took my door apart today and now I'm a little stumped. I couldn't see a way to actually get to the wire harness tunnel. #32, do you have to remove the speaker to get to it? I'll need to take another look when I can get some better lighting.

There wouldn't be chimes then because there isn't power to the amp. But the turn signals and other chimes like seat belt go through that speaker and they would be louder.
@OP - whether this matters to you or not, tapping off one rear speaker will no only cause you to lose fade and balance capabilities, but you will also lose part of your sound since you will be cutting off one half of the stereo signal. In this situation ...
Upgraded speakers and ran it that way for a year till I put an aftermarket Pioneer Navi unit in. Using a 4 channel amp, you wil not even hear the underdash speaker unless a call comes in, door chimes, ect. Just pick up a cheap 3 1/2 or 4in from rat shack along with a 300mf cap and you'll be golden.
