... hole in the bracket also had to be enlarged. We were done in less than 30 minutes. While we had the truck in the air we also installed a factory transmission cooler.
... hose starts to shake and hurry and shut engine off . This will remove most oil from the trans and pan +1 on all of this. I'm not big on having the transmission flushed like another poster suggested.
For this I would go to a local shop that does transmission flushes. Some things are easier to have a shop do even though it may cost you some money. I would recommend Bg products.
So I just checked the transmission fluid and the tube that the dipstick goes into is snapped off about half way down. Which is awesome because no one sells them and I am completely stranded 9 hrs from home. In the last two days I have went from loving my truck to absolutely hating it.
... my low mileage is I never really get the truck warmed up. I only drive 15 miles every couple days to and from work, then 2 miles to the gym. My transmission never gets above 110 on a warm day. trans is bad in my opinion due to coolant contamination, you will need a radiator too becuase the cooler is made in it, bonding material on the clutches break down from glycol in coolant, its the only explination for fluid overfull, SORRY!
