Re: Battery Drain and Locked Out

Believe me, opening the hood with a broken cable is noted by many dealers. That cable wears over time and snaps and it is quite a common problem, and yes,, I know there are two distinct latches, the cable and the secondary leverage latch (also known as the safety latch). ...

Re: BFG ALL TERRAIN vs. TOYO OPEN COUNTRY A/T

... I know a few guys that have run them in the past and this is a consistent issue amunst them. My neighbor loves BFG's but he says when the tread wears down they get slick. I never ran BFG's, but I have talked to many that have about them because I was leaning heavy towards them in the past on ...

Re: Rough Country Leveling kit questions

... that I've installed a 2.5" leveling kit on, and have had a hard time getting them to align back to factory specs...the outside of the tires wears quicker than the rest. Anyone else ran into this problem or know if there is enough adjustment to align back to factory specs given this size ...

Re: Tire and MPG Question

... size change is small. I can understand the above poster's drop with the Duratrac, as those in any size are basically made of lead (and the tread wears like it too!). Also to take into account - for those that have resized tires and have a speedometer difference of 5% - since you are now going ...

Re: Best time for new tires

... Intro forum. Your question: most tire manufactures recommend taking caution during the first 100-500 miles while the protective storage coating wears off. Don't remember if I read that at tirerack.com or the Wrangler FAQs. Either way, it sounds logical.

Re: Tire Pressure on 265/60/R20 Goodyear Tires

Put a heavy chalk line across the tread and then drive in a straight line for 50 feet, add or subtract air until you get a setting that the chalk wears off evenly across the tire tread, that will given you even wear. Old thread but good advice if anyone is wondering about setting tire pressures.

Re: SLE Console Part Numbers and related info

... the same. You can get a console that is a new take out or out of a junker a heck of a lot cheaper than that. This is not really a unit that "wears". Maybe the cup holder and rubber mats, but those are less than $60 brand new for a cup holder and all the rubber mats. I understand you ...

Re: Plasti-Dip testimonial/question

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364883035.121130.jpg Hit that chrome bro. It holds up great. Even if it wears thin. A few more coats and the chips or thin spots are perfect again. Then when you decide to redo it the thicker it is the more evenly it peels away. I'm a believer, ...
