2WD Leveling Kit

Postby gadawg31 [OP] » Sep 13 2012, 6:22pm

Ok, I have read a ton of info already posted about how great the leveling kits are; however they are all related to a 4wd. Has anyone does this on their 2wd? I have a 2006 1500 sierra(2wd) and it looks like a wedge and I was told there are leveling kits out there for that issue. Any info would be great, before I spend an money. Thanks.

Mine is a 2wd 2009 Sierra 5.3L. A local shop that i have use for all my other trucks in the past, started making his own.
2.5" Leveling Kit ~ Front Strut Spacers. Should be able to find one for pretty cheap though. I went with the 2.5" bc with only a 2" my truck still would have had that "Rake" look. (The nose of the truck is lower then the back)

Is there a big difference between the 2006 & 2007 sierra? I have been looking at the Rough Country, but they only have a leveling kit for 2077 and up. All other leveling kits I have been able to find are $100.00 or more. Any thoughts?

2WD Leveling Kit

I don't think they should be a big difference but I'm not to sure. But, u should be able to find a leveling kit somewhere, it shouldn't be that hard. Have u looked online? Just about any truck site should have them.

Thanks ya'll for the info. I decided to get the leveling kit from rough country and see how that works out. I want to get a new truck, but I am tired of having a monthly payment and my '06 sierra is not in bad shape. I think I will get the leveling kit, upgrade the tires and rims, new exhaust system and call it a day. I will post some pics when I start the project, so you all can see the before and after. Just need to save up a few more dollars. My money tree out back is empty, so it will be a little bit before I get everything. Thanks.

Correct me if im wrong but pre-2007 came with torsion bars.So a 2007 leveling kit would not work on a 2006..

I returned my 3" spacer kit, and I'm probably going to just get a 3" lift spindle and call it a day
