4" BDS Lift w/ New Wheels/Tires

Postby ID Outdoorsman [OP] » Jan 20 2012, 3:29am

Hey everyone, just picked up my truck and thought I'd throw up a pic on the forum. I haven't seen a lot of picture of 4" BDS lifts, nor have I found many of black wheels on the new(er) navy silverados (hopefully this will help out any of you guys looking for something similar-- I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.)

33 BFG Km2 on 18 XD rockstars (i know some don't care for the "cockstars," however I've only seen a few in my area and I think they're BA).
BDS 4" lift.

haha exactly it's my truck :D-- Thanks!
and yeah, about the snow... It was like 40 degrees + last week, however, in the last 24-48 hours we have been dumped on consistently and supposedly it's going to keep pouring down for the next few days.

Would like to hear more... Cost, ride, handling, any issues installing. Also some better pics when weather permits. Looks good so far.

I didn't install the kit, but the guys who did said everything went in great and that it looked like a top-notch lift (they usually just install pro comp). I have installed one lift before, an Emu on an FJ62, and while it turned out ok I decided to have the pro's handle this one-- with as much money as I have into the truck I wanted it to be done right.

Cost: pretty high, actually.
- I bought the lift through BDS (prob could have gone through ebay, etc. for a cheaper route), and I upgraded to the Fox shocks = $1900.
- The wheels, tires, and installation = $3400.

Total = $5,300

Ride and handling: As I have less than 30 miles on it through crazy unplowed roads I can't say much for now. The tires are siped, but haven't opened up much yet probably. However, I didn't have any issues on the roads and the ride was smooth considering the conditions. I took it into an empty parking lot with over a foot of untouched snow and romped it around-- handled flawlessly. I had the stock wheels/tires in the bed, which helped too. I'm going to put in one of those water trax or whatever deals in this weekend-- adds roughly 300 lbs.

I'll def throw up some pics as soon as the weather clears up.
