4" ReadyLift SST

Postby halfnoon2002 [OP] » Apr 09 2012, 8:12pm

Here are a couple of pictures of my truck with the 4" ReadyLift SST lift and 20" XD Monsters with 295/55/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers. The wheels have a +18 offset. There is no rubbing with this setup, although very close. Before I bought the lift I couldn't find very many pictures or information so anyone considering this lift, this is what it will look like.

B-E-A-UTIFUL! Did you feel any loss of power when you went to a bigger tire?

I didn't notice any loss of power but I did notice a loss of MPGs and braking is a little different. I lost around 3-4 MPGs roughly. I'm still tracking mileage to get a more accurate number. Braking felt a little different at first but already I do not notice it. It looks soooo much better with the lift and wheels though. Well worth it :)

Did you calibrate your speedo for your new tire size? Big diff with that kind of size. 3-5% is the difference on your millage and speed. It doesn't make a different if you calculate your mpg through you millage or dic because your off 3-5% compare to your stock ones.

I live in central MA. Gardner to be exact.

They look so much better even with just the leveling kits. I don't like the mpg drop either. I think it may not have been so bad if I didn't go with such an aggressive tire but too late now lol. Although I'm thinking about getting a tune to help recoupe some of the loss.

No I have not calibrated my speedo yet wich is why I'm not 100% sure on MPGs loss. According to online tire calculator the difference between these tires and stock are 3.58% so I'm just doing the math and adding that to what the DIC says for average MPGs.
