My '04 LTZ with Autoride has 163K on it and the service ride control light is on. The dealer tells me it's like $2K to diagnose and repair. Yikes!! It does need shocks, but the factory autoride shocks are ridiculously expensive and with this kind of mileage, I don't really care about the autoride system anyway. I would just as soon put regular (read: affordable) shocks on it and be down the road. Can I put in some kind of resistor on each shock sensor plug to fake the system out and get the light to turn off? Any other ideas to get the light off without spending MEGA dollars? Thanks in advance for any advice / solutions.
