Bag the rear? (lowered)

Bag the rear? (lowered)

Postby heelsparky0501 [OP] » Aug 17 2011, 10:08pm

Hey everyone,

Right now my truck is dropped with a belltech kit and only has about an inch and a half of axle to frame clearence, and the axle hits the frame all day long. To solve this i was going to buy and install the belltech c notch kit
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-6617/

The measurements from the center of the hubcap to the lip of the fenderwell is 15.5in in the front and 16.5in in the rear

But what about rear bags? I've heard from a few buddies of mine that rear bags with the notch will improve the ride and capacity.
Maby something like this?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MMC-33024/ < would this even work/bolt up to the belltech c notch?

Im not sure what to look for though, the axle is not flipped, it just has the brackets and i think a leaf taken out (only two leafs). i would need just a bag kit with no compressor right?

Or do you guys think i will be okay with just the belltech c notch? I just dont want to do any more damage to my frame.

Let me first say that I wouldn't even consider messing with the frame, but then I wouldn't drop my truck to the ground. I know a lot of people have, but I think safety first and the frame is the core of the truck. But if you're slamming the frame anyway, that's not good either.

Bags are going to give you the nicest ride out there until the come up with some kind of ant-gravity suspension system or something. You'll either need a compressor or a tank. If your hard on it you may easily damage bags, which gets expensive.

I'm thinking of bagging my truck, too. I usually run empty, which makes for a stiff ride. Plus, with a levelling system, I can keep my truck level loaded or not.
