Bags

Postby cicchetti21 [OP] » Aug 20 2011, 5:04am

Ok so I decided I am going to go with the 3.5 inch RC kit and run 20's with 33's on my truck. I also to my boat and my buddies boats and I might be towing a 25ft towhauler here in the future. However I am not so thrilled with how stiff the rearend is right now on the freeway. Will adding bags help the ride of my truck with or without towing? and what kind of system should I consider? I don't want to break the bank either.

Air bags will help you with your ride empty and while towing, you can add or drain the air out of the bags to what ever ride comfort you want. The air bags will help level your truck when towing also. Just like a big rig

You may want to think about going with 18's. 20 inch wheels and 33's are a rough ride. With an 18 inch wheel and 33's you will have more sidewall and a little smoother rid. I am either going up to 35's on my 20's or swapping out the 20's for 18's. I'm just about do for new tires so I need to make up my mind. I had 18's with 33's on my 03 Tahoe and the ride was quite a bit better. Both lifted about 7 inches.

I had 20's on my Tahoe that was 10 inchs with 35's and I loved the ride. I believe it has a lot to do with tires. I ran the Toyo Open Country and they were great. I like the 20 look with the 33's since they are smaller so it will have that shorty stocky look that I want. I am serious about the airbags though to help with the ride in the rear.
