So I need to replace my shocks all the way around and I have purchased a set of bilstein HDs. On the front shocks can I just remove the nut on top stem and the bolts on the bottom and slide the old shock out and slide the new one in? Or, does the spring assembly have to be removed to??

I am sure someone has been through it on here. Can you please advise.

You need a spring compressor to replace the springs

Not replacing springs, just want to put on the new shocks.

You will need a pry bar to compress the shock allittle but yes it will come out after you take top hardware off and bottom bolts out. Not sure how your new shocks come but if there wired down (compressed) don't cut the wire until you get it mounted and ready to decompress, a lot easier. If not wired the pry bar will get them in place. Just be careful you get the pry bar centered under your shock and it's a snap to line up for bolts. Dont tighten top till you get bottom started, good luck,,
