I recently purchased an 02' Chevy Silverado 1500 LS extended cab with a short bed. I want to put a leveling kit on it but know nothing about them. What is everything that I will need. What are some recommendations on kits? What are the pros and cons?
WELCOME!
You have a torsion bar suspension. You cannot add a traditional leveling kit. Yours would be leveled by the torsion keys. Please search the suspension section of the site to find out more.
Your levelling kit is basically built in. Your truck has torsion bars, you just give them a little crank and it will lift the front end an inch or so. But once you're done get an alignment. You can get new keys to lift it a little more too, but the more you crank the stiffer the ride is going to be.
