hey, few quick tips...

1)Pinion angle - measure your pinion angle right now on that rear diff... that way if you get any vibes, youll know where you need to go and how big of a shim you will need. No bigger pita than having to guess and experiment.

2)Headlights - Park the truck and mark the headlights on a wall. Then after the drop, double check them. Im assuming your stock height right now, so the angle should change. The height will also change, but we are checking angle! You dont want that rear end to go down and push the headlights into people eyes, you'll be getting flashed all night long!

How low can I go?

Measure from center hub to fender before you drop as well so you can compare those measurements after you drop to see how much drop you've gained.

Also, as far as rear shocks go I ran Monroe air shocks but switched to belltech street performers out back and prefer the ride much better.

I looked into belltech but they are about 170 bucks more for the kit/rear shocks and ground force prices it lke they wanna keep it..I talked to a Mcgaughy tech and he said the 3/5 is their most popular setup and with my tire combo there will be no issues other than with max compression on the front end and turning nor would I have any headlight angel issues. Also I don't carry any heavy loads so I should be good to go.

They McGaughy 3/5 with shocks is right at 770 shipped....Part # 34005. Anyone have any experience with this particular setup and again thanks

How low can I go?

What parts are included in that kit? I'd piece together McG 2" spindles as they are the closest factory angles then you can get a coil relocator that you can set on 1" inch or 2" if you decide to go lower for the front.

I wouldn't go with McG rear shocks, lots of people hate them. I'd really check into those belltechs.

There are a few vendors that have good prices I know of. Pm me for more info if you are interested as I don't want to break any soliciting rules here or anything.

Belltech is ganna be a much better ride than the McGaughtys. If you go the cheap route with shocks or suspension in general you will know it when you ride in it.

Because belltech makes better parts, and a lot of people run their shocks on a lot of vehicles.

Have proof they make better parts?..I'm not pissed or anything just want some logic. I agree 100% with the shock statement. I have McG everything on my truck however I run belltech street performers for a shock as they are what works best.

Only thing DJM I would run on a NNBS is control arms to get more low as its one of few options for the front after you start getting so low, everything else isn't up to par. Heard/seen lots of problems with the DJM notches bending and other parts being junk.
