Ha ha I got ya. Hate to be a total noob but how do you figure 33" in the standard measurement sizes?

I think my current tires are actually 265/70/17 after looking at a few sites.

265/70/17 is a 31.5" tire. 33" has a bunch of different metric tire sizes.

Very cool. I really don't want to run super huge tires with the cost of gas these days so 33" sounds about where I'd like to be when I upgrade down the road. Thanks for all the information!

Can you lift both ends of a truck with a leveling kit or just the front?

It's just the front end that's lifted with a leveling kit.

Re: How to Choose & Buy a Lift Kit

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a RC leveling kit but after speaking with a few friends the question came up about the difference it will make when hauling a decent load and/or trailer. Most of the time It's just the family and a few random things in the bed. When we go 4 wheeling I'm pulling a little over two thousand pounds and it does "level" the truck out a bit.

Can anyone that has the RC kit comment on how their truck looks when hauling some decent weight around?

When I tow my 4500 pound boat, the truck is still not level. The back is still up just a bit. That's why I think I will do a leveling kit. Even when towing the boat, it will probably not make it squat much, if at all.

I hate to ask it but with most leveling kits ranging from 1" to 2.5" what kit will come as close as possible to leveling out a 2012 4wd Sierra? I've seen so many people go with a 2" kit regardless of the brand, is this the closest for our trucks without going front end high?
