After reading tons of reviews and stories on body and suspension lift kits, I decided the kit best for me was the Rough Country 4.75" Combo lift (3.5" suspension lift with 1.25" body lift)
I know a lot of people bashed on the original RC 3" kit but there have been plenty of good reviews on the new 3.5" kit. Also i did NOT want to modify my frame cross members or brackets etc because i usually trade every 2-3 years and want the ability to revert to stock. I already have a 2" leveling kit and 3" block from RC along with 285/65/18 Terra Grapplers. long story short i want more lift!
Is anyone already running this lift? If so what size tires are you running. I'm planning on keeping my stock 18's and 285/65/18's (32.5 x 11.2") for my winter wheels and going to a 18" wheel 00 or -12 offset wheel with a 295/70/18 (34.4 x 11.7")
I have the wheel spacers to use the stock wheels. If anyone has any tire size recommendations or PICTURES Id greatly appreciate it! Its scheduled to be installed next Thursday 1/17/13 Ill post pics!
I just recently purchased the RC 3.5 inch lift with upper control arms. I haven't had a chance to install it yet. Still sitting in the box in my shop. I plan on using either a 275/70-18 or a 305/65-18 with my stock wheel. A lot of people recommend not using the wheels spacers.
Good to know! Any idea why? Also I just talkes to RC and they said with minor trimming and a 5.5" backspaced wheel you can run 35's. I'm going to stick with the 295/70/18 idea for now almost a 35
I hope your right!!! I wish they gave me a status update before closing. For all I know it fell off the lift or was crashed on a test drive. Trying to be patient!
Lift is in! Went very well. I need bigger tires! Still Rides very comfortably too. Overall I'm pretty happy. I think I would have been just as happy with my leveling kit/3" block and a body lift. O well. Pics to come! Also for sale will be a like new RC leveling kit, lift blocks, and rancho shocks (all have 2k miles)
I think ill fall in love with it when I get aftermarket 18's and 295/70/18 tires!

UPDATE
I added a different block today. the way the kit comes is supposed to "level" the truck and in my opinion the back sagged. i went from a 3" block to a 4" block. looks much better!
