I have the SS kit and I love it. Now there is nothing wrong with the economy kit but I figured why not just get what I want? Plus I think it looks a little better.
Just how the truck looks and sits and what height you have them set at and tire size. I'm gonna be getting a 2012 sierra and just doing some homework before so when I get it I know exactly what I want
Cool thanks that's what I wanted to see to make sure it didn't sit to high with 35 s on it. That looks really good. So I gotta ask how much you found that lift for and did you install it or have it installed
I got the lift for 1800 shipped to me from Grunion Fabrication. Keep in mind that this is the SS kit which is the top end one for them. And I did the install myself.
OK so I know I have a lot of questions but I'm new to lifts so bare with me. But have you had any problems and how hard is the install do you need any special tools to install the kit. And do your tires stick out the same in the front and back or do you have to use wheel spacers.?
No problems to date. Only special tools I'd say are the socket to fit the cv axle nut and a Sawzall or cutoff wheel to cut the cross member. And I do have 2" spacers in the back to match them up.
Did you find a good price to swap gears? My guy said he can do it but needs your truck on the weekend since he works during the week at silver eagle Dist.
I have 3.73s. Look in your glove box for the RPO codes to see what you have.
And no I haven't found anyone yet. I was thinking of tackling them myself this weekend. Normally I could drop it off down there but I sold my other truck this past weekend. How long do you think he would take to do them?
Hey Linkman, sorry to revive an old thread but I'm new here and I guess because I'm so new I'm not allowed to message other members directly but I saw in this thread where you went from a RCX lift to a mcgaughys lift. I would like to do the same but I'm being told it can't be done because the rough country requires that the passenger side differential mount needs to be removed and the mcgauhy lift uses this mount. Could you tell me how you did the swap? Thanks.
