Something loose in frontend?

Noise from front end

Postby jleach76 [OP] » Feb 22 2012, 11:09pm

It seems something is loose in the front end. It does not do it all the time just every once in awhile when I hit a bump. Sounds like a soft rattle. I have a 2011 Silverado Crew cab 4x4 with the Z71. Please help. I am going to the dealer this Friday and maybe they can help.

If anything you might be having the same problem I'm having with my 09 Sierra. On mine it was the fuel line rattling on the transmission.

Had exactly the same issue. Turns out it was the two large rubber hood stops.Drivers side did it more that the passenger side . Applied a bit of grease to the rubber and where they seat and "viola' no more rattle.Hope yours is the same.Drove me nuts for a few days before I discovered what it was. I must have cleaned too well under the hood after buying it. 8-)
