Power Steering?

Postby ppoopruitt1 [OP] » Feb 28 2012, 1:53am

Ok so I'm not quite sure this is the right place to put this but I need some help and this seems like the best place.
I need to change my power steering fluid. I have checked the "How-To Articles" very thoroughly along with my manual and didn't find anything.
So I have two questions:
1: How much power steering fluid do I need?
2: How do I go about draining and performing this service? (My manual only shows where the resevoir is located.)
If anyone knows or has experience please help. I do have hydroboost on a 2003 2500HD with the 6.0L.
Thank you very much.

im not familiar with your exact truck and ive never changed mine but everyone on here whos done it says to use a suction gun to suck the old fluid out then replace with new, one quart should do the job. on a side note, you will not be able to get out all the fluid so one thing you could do is change the fluid out again a week later to increase the amount of new fluid.
