Pro Comp or BDS lift kit?

Postby Marine6186 [OP] » Dec 26 2011, 6:38pm

I plan on lifting my truck this summer. I want a 6" suspension lift. I have heard nothing but great things about the Pro Comp lift kit. I do not have the tools nor the skills to do this myself so there is a local shop that does it. I have a friend who has had two trucks lifted there and he says they do great work.
Well I contacted them and told them that I wanted to do a 6" Pro Comp lift. They said they can do it but they prefer the BDS lift kit because they believe it is a "More complete lift kit"
I don't know anything about lift kits. But, what I do know is the local dealer sells an aftermarket Silverado (and Tahoes) from a company located in Georgia. And this company uses the Pro Comp lift kit on everything (http://www.rockyridgevans.com/products.php)
Does anyone have experience with both/either of these kits?

BDS is guaranteed, no questions asked. I know a few people with BDS on their jeeps and it rides great and it is built solid. I have seen a few trucks with the Pro- Comp and there is just not any comparison. It's your money, do the research, but if your going to any sort of wheelin', make sure you get something that will hold up for years, not just for a few trips downa gravel road.

Go with the BDS. Rock solid, alittle more money but well worth it. If you plan on keeping your truck for years, its the way to go.. ;)

Id go RCX before I would use Pro Comp.
Could be me, just not a fan and with the price of the ProComp there are a lot of better choices out there for the same for less money.
