Suspension lift questions.

Postby Bostonmaniac781 [OP] » Jun 26 2012, 4:30am

I am having trouble finding answers to a few questions about certain ways to lift my truck. I am planning on getting some bigger all terrain tires for the winter so i want to do a slight leveling/lift.

For the front I want to do torsion bar keys but I also found out that I could do strut lift spacers. Which one would be a better option? They both end up being around the same price.

Then, for the rear I want to do possibly shock extenders, but do you have to do blocks with them too. What is a good way to lift the rear just 2 or 3 inches? Thanks in advance guys!

Since your truck is an 05 you need torsion keys. Strut spacer are for nnbs trucks. Shock extenders do nothing for lift. There for if you get bigger blocks you don't need new shocks. As for size of block you can just go measure the one you have now and go from there on the size. I wouldn't recommend stacking blocks though. For example say you have a 1 inch block and want 2 more inches of lift you need a 3 inch block.

Yes. You do however have to options to raise the back one of course being blocks, and the other an add-a-leaf.

Which option is usually easiest, add-a-leaf or adding blocks?
