What is the BEST leveling kit out there?

What is the BEST leveling kit out there?

Postby LibertyorDeath [OP] » Jan 12 2012, 3:57am

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and to trucks in general although I have always loved Chevys. I have 2011 Silverado Extended Cab LS 4.8 2WD. I wish I could have the crew 6.2 4x4 z71 LTZ but im only 23 have a wife and two kids and am not made of money. Like all of us I love my truck and want desperatly to really make it my own and upgrade it as much as possible. I have done some looking and i have noticed the plethora of leveling kits out there, so which one should i go with? remember im not made of money but i dont want anything cheap thats gonna fail. im sure this has come up before but i thought id ask myself plus im active duty military so i dont have a whole lot of research time on my hands. So which leveling kit is right for me? is there a differance in plastic spacers or metal ones? Thanks guys for all your input and if you could please post before and after pics that would be great

The Rough Country kit seems to be very popular on here. Looks easy to install and can be picked for like $65. Likely what i'm going to go with but waiting to have $$ for wheels and tires at the same time.

Go with the Rough Country.

I have the rough country. I went with it because of the low cost and ease of installation. I installed it myself using this video, it was pretty easy

I have an 03 2500hd and wanted to lift the front end up for plowing so I ended up going with Suspension Maxx, I liked them because you can adjust how much the front end gets lifted up, and I paid roughly 110.00 I think for the new torsion keys up front and 2" blocks for the rear. Then instead of putting in timbrins in the front they sell there own version of it but it give you just a little play so that when you dont have a load on the front ie. my plow your ride isnt as rough. Just my opinion though.

After looking at all the options, I chose the Rough Country. The video of the 2010 installation was super easy. In two weeks I will be putting my kit on........
