SLCCHEVY...they say change them every 50K miles...im going to change mine at 53K just to be safe and fix my problems....but dont you have a leveling kit already?

Yeah I have a leveling kit (rough country 2") because that is only $65 it was a temporary fix until I upgraded to the Bilstiens. I will probably try selling the Rough Country kit when i take it off. It's probably worth $50 to someone?

So I would need to take my RC 2" leveling kit off when installing these? I'm assuming yes...

I have the AT edition with the Rancho shocks....I'm guessing these would be able to replace those? I've got a tad under 80k on my truck and have been thinking about replacing them. Anyone happen to have the part numbers for the Sierra? I noticed GMC is not an available selection on the Bilstein website...???

same thing as silverado...but yeah you would have to take off the RC leveling kit with the ride adjust leveling shocks...the reason is you will have a 2" lift and if you lift it another 1.5 or another 1.75"....they say your CV axles are out of line ( my problem im running into right now) and you can snap them quick when going to 4x4...is what they say... and your truck would be 4" or 3.5" in the front and you would need to get a 2" block for the rear to level it out...

The answer to you question is yes you will have to get rid of the RC kit... Unless, you want a 3.5" lift

then you would simply keep the RC leveling kit (2") add the Bilstein ride height adjust shock @ (1.5") giving you 3.5" of lift in the front.
add the 2" block to the back...and buy a diff drop bracket or use 3 grade 8 steel washers stacked on all 4 bolts holding the front differential and drop it 3/4" and call her a day..lol

just another option lol

Are you referring to the leveling strut or the regular 5100? Is the general consensus to go with the leveling strut (is there even a 5100 strut that DOESN'T level the front)? I look on this page: http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi ... hicle.html
and it ONLY has the leveling strut for the front and the non-leveling 'regular' one for the rear. I'm kind of confused.

If you just want to level your truck with Bilsteins, then you need the height adjustable ones which are part number 24-186940 fronts and if you want to do the backs, then those are part number 24-186957.

I suggest anyone wanting to do Bilstein to go to bilsteius.com,there you can find what you want and use the search for your specific truck/year,very informative and can't go wrong.

If those two numbers match (and judging from my expert comprehension skills, I believe they do), then they must be... ;)

I'm about to pull the trigger too...just have to make the final decision of new shocks vs getting a lift and going in a different direction...not that I couldn't sell them if I needed to, but...
