Where did you get your Bilstein 5100's and how much?

Postby BigRedZ71 [OP] » Feb 02 2012, 8:19pm

I have a 2008 crew cab and I'm going to be replacing my wore out shocks with the Bilstein 5100 adjustable ones. I'm having a hell of a time finding an auto parts store that can even get them. I've found the set for all four corners for $378.99 on eBay. I was just wondering where other people were getting them from and for how much. Thanks.

Good place to shop here. I've always been happy dealing with them.

BigRed

Are you getting the 5100's to use as leveling ?? I too I'm wanting to put those on my truck (front only) to use as leveiling the front to be same as back.

let us know once you have done them if you feel that ride is same or has it changed (rougher).

Bilstein's have two versions of the 5100,one is for trucks that already have a lift kit,the other is an adjustable height type so that you can raise front up to 2.25 inches thereby leveling truck, depends on what you want to do.

I went on the Bilsteinus.co site, you choose truck year, brand and model and it gives you shock options depending what you will be doing, very good information.

I'm just looking at leveling the truck and do not like the pucks types of lifts.

Yeah my factory shocks are wore out 88k miles. And I want to level it too, so might as well kill two birds with one stone. Hopefully I'll have them on in the next two weeks. Waiting on my check from Obama. I'll post on here my findings when I finally get them on. Hopefully they're not too big of a PITA.
