Which Leveling Kit?

Postby thirdgen [OP] » Jul 09 2010, 5:57am

I want to install a leveling kit on my 2000 Silverado. I'm not sure which kit to buy, I'm just sick of the truck looking too 2 wheel drive. I want something inexpensive, cause all I'm really paying for is torsion keys, right? I want to fit a metric equilevent of a 33" tire on my 17" rims, but I want a really agressive all terrain. Something comparable to the Hankook Dynopro AT/M.
Any suggestions on the kit / tires?

Rough Country makes quality easy to install products. I'm on my third kit. Maybe tight to get 33's on with no rub with just a leveling kit, not sure. I also highly recommend the Pro Comp x-treme all terrains..very beefy and low road noise...pricey but you get what you pay for. You also get good milage out of them

my 33's dont rub with just a leveling kit on my 99. is your truck 2wd or 4wd because most 2wd's will have coil springs in the front end were the 4wd's will have torsion keys and i 2nd rough country they make good products

My 2000 is 4x4 and it has 17" wheels. I have 285 60 R17 toyo Proxes S/T's right now. It looks 2WD. I plan on the Rough Country Leveling kit, but what size tire amounts out to a 33"? I also am unsure of what tire to get. I like the Hankook Dynopro? I want a really agressive all terrain, or possibly a Mud Terrain as long as it has good treadwear if there is such a thing! I also want something that's not really expensive.
Thanks!
