first longer tow milage with camper

Finally got a chance to pull our 19 foot hybred camper up to northern Minnesota. Campers weights in at 3,800, then add all our camping and fishing stuff....I would say around 4,500.

The truck and camper work great together with the intragrated brake contoller. Best system around.....Good job GM!

My milage going up to Savanna State park was about 11 MPG. My milage going home was 9 MPG with a big head wind around 30 MPH.... I would say that my pulling milage is around 10 MPG....

Now I tried the T/H mode and did not notice that the truck seemed to hold it speed better on hills with this mode turned on. On the flat hiways w/o wind I turned it off, it did go into the top gear sometimes. I also have the 3.08 axel ratio.........It seems to be working ok.......

I don't think T/H mode is designed to "hold" your speed. Rather, it keeps the tranny from hunting for gears.
Marine because.

Thanx for the report. Sounds like it did a good job, and did what it was supposed to do.
Crap, my hampster fell off the wheel and it broke its leg.

Looks like a very nice set up you've got there. Dog looks comfortable too! Always good to get reports on trailering

I agree, and one of my results is that it holds its speed better in the hills.
