Towing mirrors

Postby beermanjoe [OP] » Jul 30 2012, 12:14am

How many of you upgraded to towing mirrors and didn`t have the turning signals in your original mirrors, but ordered the towing mirrors with them and they worked? How can you tell if you have heated mirrors. They are power but see no heated mirror on/off button.

The heated mirror button is by the heater controls. Looks like a side view mirror with wiggly lines lol. My truck did NOT have turns from the factory, but I ordered the tow mirrors with them, and the signals work fine. Mine are KoolVue.

I found it thanks.Do you have the turn signal in the mirror or on the outer edge of the base? How do you like your mirrors?

Mine is the red arrow right in the mirror face. I love them. Took a little getting used to, lookin' out the window and seeing that big ole mirror. But, I'm happy with the looks and the performance. I got mine from Jones Auto Body on Ebay for 93 bucks a piece.

Holy crap! I just looked up my "relisted" item on there, they're 15X.XX something now. Man, it was just a month or two ago. They were cheaper to buy them individually than as a pair. There's pages and pages of them.....look at them all. I think I was on the 35th page when I found the left and 40th page when I found the right.

Re: Towing mirrors

Postby eric1818 » Jul 30 2012, 6:13am

Hey there I'm in the same dilemma, just curious if i order the towing mirrors with the digital arrow in the mirror lens, Is there wiring there in my 2011 Reg Cab Silverado WT? or Would i have to get the dealership to install it and they run the wire? Just curious if its a easy install to do myself. Thanks

Very easy. Take off the door panel and the little triangel cover over where the mirror is on the inside and there is three ten mil bolts. Take them off and unplug it and put your new one on the same way. 20 min job both sides if that.
