i have a 2003 gmc 1500 4x4. the front drive axle assy is in pieces. i found one for sale at a really good price. the problem is it is out of a 1998 chevy truck. i am wondering if this will fit. please help

I would say it would work if the gear rartio is the same and if the outside dimensions and yoke are the same. If you have them side by side see if they are the same (mounting locations and outside dimensions). I do not think they will be the same, however.
