This right here. If you want 4x4, buy one. They are plentiful and still in production.

It's like with the mk3 vw guys who swap a vr6 engine into a jetta.... Makes no sense because you could find one that came from the factory that way. If it were a golf, which never came with a vr6, that would be different.

Personally, I think the swap would be worth it if you had a donor vehicle that was totalled. But it would have to be 2007+ body style for the front 4x4 components to work.

doing a 4wd swap back in the day was as easy as getting a different transmission, a transfer case and a front axle. boom your done

now its that plus computers, lots of computers. this is not worth anyones time unless you solid axle swap it. there is a kit for 3/4 tons that costs 18 grand.

seriously, just go buy a 4wd one
