4L60E torque convertor and valve body issues

I need a new torque converter and valve body.... i was wondering if this needs to be rebuilt or can i get the part new? All the prices i have gotten for the fix is from $1100 and up. Is there any way possible to get it cheaper or do i have to just eat that price and do it. It also has a tci over haul kit in it does that make a difference for the torque converter?

You really didn't say WHY and how you know you need those parts. I would go with a rebuild.

i had a transmission shop put it on a computer and they said that the torque coverter is slipping and i need a new valve body....

i just got it out of the shop it was the valve body.... $500 to fix.. i even tryed to get the transmission to slip and nothing happened just power..
