98 4l60e blazer trans in a 02 1500 4x4 PU with 5.3

I was told the 98 4l60e from a blazer 4x4 will NOT work in a 02 chevy 1500 PU with 5.3. I was told the input shafts are different in dia..

the 98 trans is rebuild, but the cust left it out-side in the weather uncovered for bout a yr.. any way their 02 chevy trans took a dump and they installed the 98 trans in the silverado.. well when put in gear the engine idles down but doesn't move.. hell could be anything wrong with it sitting outside..

i don't swap trans, i fix what came out of them, then re-install..

I have another used trans from a trail-blazer 4.2 6 cly? would that one work?
