New gears speedo calibration

Postby Proudtobeawesome [OP] » Feb 05 2012, 3:50pm

I finally replaced my original gears from 3.08 to 3.73 and I can already notice the differene. Not only more power on take off but the burn outs are amazing. Now it's time to get my speedometer right. Are there shops that do this kind of calberation for a reasonable price or do I need to get a tuner such as hypertech or edge? I wish I would of payed more attention to see the difference in my rpms to speed.

There does not seem to be an easy way. You may be looking at a tuner. See this link: Speedometer recalabration Tool
With that significant of a change in gearing, and tuner would be advisable, I'd say.

New gears speedo calibration

I agree, go ahead and pick yourself a tuner like the InTune, it will add some horsepower and adjust your gears and tire size for when you change those too.
