Power steering and brakes do not function

Postby mini [OP] » May 16 2010, 7:08pm

My power steering and brakes did not function. A small puddle of oil was on the pavement. The hydraulic resevoir had back pressure on it when I undid the cap. After starting and stoping the engine 3 times both systems began working. Any ideas?

diagnosis from Mr. Goodwrench...reservoir was overfilled, when a sharp turn was made the oil "frothed" causing an "air bubble to form thus stopping the flow of oil. The reservoir could not expell the air (over filled) and was trapped. Goodwrench felt that this will not occur again. No more leaks or problems and have driven truck 125 miles since incident.
