Rear axle play

Rear axle play

Postby swervin36 [OP] » Aug 09 2011, 11:37pm

First I have a 2010 CC 4X4 LTZ with 20600 miles. I was at wally world today getting oil changed and tires rotated. When the tech was taking the back tires off he noticed some end play with the axles. I inspected the axles myself and they have about 1/4 in of play. My question is, is this normal and if so how much play can I have before I need to be worried. I went ahead and made an appt at the dealer for thursday just to be on the safe side. I'm leaving for Alabama on saturday and will be pulling a trailer back so I don't want to take any chances.

Thanks for the Help.

I'm sure it's fine. The dealer will probably look at it as you wait.
