No no I would never take to the car shop and let under graduate high school kid hook up machine to it, or any machine that put pressure to push fluid out, or what they call T tech, most peoples doing home flush by unhook the coolant line and start the car, but I never have ball to do that, but if you doing coolant line flush it should do 95-98% oil fluid out, that is what I mean flush, not flush machine. pan drop and filter change is safe way to service the transmission .

The home flush works fine. My neighbor and I did his when he changed over to the amsoil fluid. It takes two people and some time so you don't run the pan dry or overfil the catch can.

You can, but just remember, it won't take long at all to pump the 5 quarts out of your pan. I'd prolly run it about 10 seconds then check the catch can to see how much it pumped out so you don't run the pan dry.

Yes, you can do that as long as you have a hose long enough to reach.

What if you run the pan dry ? and are you support to keep fill the transmission while other end is flush out on a bucket ? and you do this before or after drop pan and filter change ? I might give it a try, since it been few year I alway want too, soon or later I have to try this, mabe this is the time. btw how many total quart is these 4l60e transmission hold ?

Both EKinMN and I have had the tranny fluid fully replaced by the same shop here in MN. They did it the right way- drop the pan, clean it out, replace the filter, and then unhook the hose and run the truck. Good grief, AMSOIL sure makes some sweet tranny fluid! My 4L80E shifts a lot smoother now.
