I just prefer the styling of the GMC over the Chevrolet, especially concerning the GMT900's. With the K2XX, they are about the same to me. Neither trips my trigger.

I purchased the Sierra over the Silverado based on the front-end design. Found the 04 Sierra more appealing and got a better deal from the GMC dealer for the trim level I wanted. Otherwise not much difference in my humble opinion.

I purchased a Chevy first simply because that's what I found. I recently got a GMC simply because that's what I found.

Comparing the two, I like the GMC better because in my case it has more amenities than the Chevy did.

And I really like the front end better with the LEDs.

Recently got my GMC 1500 for a few reasons. Wanted & needed a basic truck just for personal use because I'm retired & own a house on 1.5 acres to take care of. Wasn't interested in F**ds or D****s - really didn't like the looks of them. When I started shopping around there wasn't much to choose from. I was surprised that almost all of the GM RCSB's available were high mileage white ones (WT's). Come to find out RCSB'S only account for 5-10% of truck sales according to a couple of articles I read. Then the local GMC dealer got a used one in that was just what I was looking for. 2013 with low miles, cherry condition, & a decent price.

Now it's certainly not as nice as what most of you drive - very basic as far as trucks go, but it's what I needed & wanted. I really like the body style. I think it looks good even without a girl standing on the bumper!

For me I prefer the GMC front end on the 2003 to 2007 trucks.... 1999 to 2002 is about the same to me... and I like the Chevy front better with the 88-98's. Bowtie pretty well for anything older than that. Now I skip 2007 to 2013 because I can't stand those trucks so I don't care lol. On the 2014 and 2015 models I like the Chev's.... because the headlights actually light up the road versus the GMC lol.
