Do you park in a garage/indoors?

Postby JBartoletti [OP] » Jan 24 2012, 3:05pm

I currently park indoors (barely clearing the garage doors...single stall garage). I am tossing around the idea of getting a lift but then I'll undoubtedly lose the ability to park in the garage...which I'm not too fond of. So, tell me, do you park in the garage/barn/shed? If you don't, does it ever bother you? Yeah, it's a truck..."it's made to be outside, dirty, etc." but I like to keep my things looking nice.

I don't park my daily drivers in the garage or pole barn. I keep my hot rod in one bay of the garage, and keep the other side for working projects. The pole barn is full of atv's and my boat. I have another pole barn at my father in laws and I have a couple of project vehicles there too. One of these days I might get around to building on to my garage - but I'll probably just buy more projects and fill it with them!

Do you park in a garage/indoors?

Postby gmctruckguy » Jan 24 2012, 3:18pm

I used to be able to fit in our nice over-sized double garage, but since the "fall cleaning" there seems to be a lot of items sitting on MY side of the garage. It makes me a little upset, not home a lot but it would be nice to park inside and out of the snow.

Sadly I do not get to park in the garage. We live in an apartment, which is the upstairs of a remodelled house. The girl downstairs has the garage as part of her apt, and its filled with crap and toys. We have an unattached garage behind our apt but that gets rented out to other people.

My Dad's truck sleeps in a garage all winter, and has done so every winter since 1988. Must be nice!

Do you park in a garage/indoors?

Postby fox4wd1981 » Jan 24 2012, 4:39pm

Ever since I bought my first truck in 1999 I haven't been able to park in a garage for one reason or another. I just try to be a little cautious about the surroundings of where I am parked ie. stay away from old weak trees or like at my grandparents place, I stay away from the pecan trees.

I used to park both of our DD in the garage. Now one side gets used for storing our Camaro in the winter so me and the wife trade off who stays outside depending on who leaves for work first. The early starting person gets the garage so they don't have to clean off snow. Our work schedules vary but so far my truck is in there more than her car.

Both trucks sleep in the garage every night. It used to just be the wifes when the garage had two separate garage doors, but after converting it to a single 18' door now they both fit. Sure makes it nice in the mornings.

we have a 1.5 car garage. cud prolly fit two rice burners in there if you wanted but thats about it. The wife gets the garage with the impala for the winter and im outside. In the summer i park in the garage and bring my monte carlo out of storage and drive that alot so the truck sits and is used then for mainly utility purposes. Drive the truck all winter though
