got into my first accident or should i say in my own words, some bitch just hit me with her PRIUS.
on wednesday while at the doctor getting my eye checked out some lady leaves a post-it on my truck saying sorry i hit your car with her cell phone #, i call her and very nicely she says she wil pay for my damages so i went to a couple of body shops and the price she is going to have to pay will be about 1500$ for new chrome bumper and step pad, some painting and blending, and labor. but overall it sucks because i will be with out my truck for 3 days and got to drive a POS ford taurus rental which she is paying for as well. figures i have my truck for not a month and already am forced to part with it.
this blows!!!

Sorry to hear about that. You at least deserve an equivalent rental.

She may have done you a favor. Not by hitting you, but by keeping the cops and insurance out of it. Once an accident is reported, it's on the Carfax. Once it's on the Carfax, the value of your vehicle takes a huge hit, no matter now minor the accident was. You're gonna get her to pay you in cash, right?

Ouch, makes you sick when you try and take care of stuff and then things like that happen.

Just goes to show you, nothing good ever comes out of driving a Prius . If she'd been in a normal size vehicle, she'd probably been sitting up high enough to see your bright red truck. That sucks though.

I Had my 08 sierra in my buddys drive way while he was working on his truck the next thing ya know his truck starts rolling down the drive way and hits the side of my bed. Just to watch my truck get crushed kills i had it for 3 weeks thank god his insurance company paid for it all $4000

In case it ever happens to anyone else... if you would have called the police from the accident scene, and showed the office the note, he could have charged her for "Hit and Run". Her insurance company would be really eager to get you satisfied with repairs and rentals, etc., just to get out of the mess their insured caused. "Hit and Run is a Felony and a potential lawsuit from you against her Insurance Co. gives you a lot of pull as it relates to getting your truck perfect and getting you to GO AWAY!
