You would think right. but most of the people who have Diesels are on like dieselperformance or whatever those other forums are called to get as muhc power and lift as they can out of their vehicle. after being on this site for almost a year I havent come across 2 many diesels on here. love the way they look, sound, and definetly the power but they are expensive lol

Magoo nailed it...wish I had one but couldn't afford it! Was looking at them, but it just wasn't in the budget so I had to settle for what I got, and I can't complain about it. ;) Next truck will hopefully be a duramax. Do I need it? Well, not really, but they are friggin' awesome and it will come in handy when I pull the trailer and what not and then help around on the farm.

Well I'll speak out for the gassers. I actually am fine with my 6.2L gas engine. I have never really wanted a diesel nor do I plan to ever get one (unless my towing plans change from light/moderate to extreme). I realize they have more torque and most likely better mpg, but I have no desire or need to pay the premium for a 3/4 ton truck with a diseal engine. Just my thoughts on the subject matter.

True I guess its all dependent on your own needs. Duramax is bad ass but if you dont need it why pay the extra $$$. I for one def need it, I tow our horse trailer about 3 times per week up and down hills and tow bales of hay . both over 10k pounds. I think a gasser would cry and use up way to much fuel. Im not sure how to messure grade in hills but they are pretty steep near my house.

It's a matter of money, I wish I had a diesel and prefer diesel to gas any day....however, it just wasn't even close to my budget.....

Yea im surprised of the results so far. Until this poll I had no idea there was so many more gassers on here then diesels. I did go ahead and sign up duramaxforum.com and there is a ton of info there. I still think this site is cooler tho ;)
