leveled 2007 chevy (3" inch lift in all reality)

Postby lilmagoo1 [OP] » Jan 03 2012, 2:38pm

So yesterday (jan 2nd 2012) i put my leveling kit on my chevy silverado here are some before and after pics of the truck. it already had a 1 inch spacer abover the coil spring and a block in the rear. which made it sit at fender heights of 41 1/4" in the rear and 39 1/4" inch in the front. i put the leveling kit that goes on the bottom of the front struts....it worked out great!!! only 45 bucks on ebay for the leveling kit i reccommend it to anyone looking for a cheap lift. ride quality didnt change a bit, and if it did i think it got better.

I never completed one of these before so the first side did take me about an hour and a half i was afraid of breaking stuff and what not. the other side took all of a half hour. very simple to install.

Looks good Nick. She's up there pretty good. Like the mods. I have the same bed rails and really like them. Make sure you get it aligned soon. Its going to need it.

Thanks stars and bars, i got it aligned right across the road from my house. im away from my house from 6:30 to 5:30 weekdays. but their is an alignment shop right across the street from my house and i never have time to get their cause they are open 7-5.... so i had a monday off and they were open seemed like a perfect opportunity lol. put the lift on and drove it right into on of the bay doors lol.

where you live at now? I live in Selma/Smithfield now (orignally from Pennsylvania) but i work in raleigh. my wife is stationed at seymour/johnson AFB in goldsboro so were familiar with the area

I'm in Summerfield...just North of Greensboro. I traveled through your way for years before school and after to Alantic beach. Now that I am self employed and have a family the boat at the beach had to go.

looks good but, 3 inch lift with out front dif drop brackets might hurt your front cv axles.

yeah i thought about that. the guys at the tire alignment shop said it shouldnt factor that 2 hard because there is a block above and a block below. but i agree it is definetly putting an angle on them more then stock at least so we will see how that works lol
