Just a follow up from my previous thread in my search for my new Silverado. I am purchasing the new 2010 leftover that I found. The dealer will be delivering the truck to me this Thursday It is loaded with every option I want except color.. but for the money I am not complaining in any way shape or form. I ended up getting 11,903 off the msrp delivered!!! What I didn't know when I started negotiating with them is that I was still going to get the Owner loyalty and Car Show Rebate. Those two knocked another 1750 off the price. I am having to pay them 400 for delivering the truck to me but that is half what I was quoted and they accepted my offer to split that with me.

The msrp is 52,203 and I got it delivered for 40,300 to my door. BUT since I am purchasing it out of state I do have to pay my own taxes which is 3% here on top of that.

My local dealers wanting to find me a 2011 was not coming anywhere near this price. The best deal locally I could find was 45K for an 11 and at that price they were having to get it from another dealer, no local dealer had this truck with these options in stock. I agreed the fact that the 10 is the exact same truck and I was not paying them that much of a difference. The sales manager at that point would not shut up long enough for me to get a word in. Just started spouting off that he's been in this business for 20 years and that there was no way.. His loss LOL! I had a similar deal when I purchase my 2005 F150 so with the economy where it's at I figured I could do a lot better that that.. and did!

I uploaded the pictures into my album and they uploaded there ok.

I also traded this dealer my truck, which they will be picking up when they deliver mine. Site unseen other than the pictures I took of it and the info on it I gave them I got 17,000 for it. It's a 2005 Lariat loaded with all the same as this truck with the 5.4 liter. I think I did ok on this end too considering KBB values it between 17,500-20,000. Around her they go from 15,000-20,000. So I was ok with that end of the deal too

I had killed the tranny at 66K miles.. probably from pulling this. I am sure the new Silverado will be more than up to this challenge
