So, back in my younger days I use to have a 1988 Rx7 Turbo II. Anyone who has had Japanese turbo rides know that you could make small mod changes with big bang effects without the straight pipe back from the turbo down. I'd like to do the same for my Sierra. My ultimate goal is to drop in a supercharger, fill out the wheel wells with some deep dish rims and tires and a scooped hood. The problem is I have no idea where I can start to prepare for when I drop in the supercharger.
Now I am not a noise guy. I don’t like loud sounding rides. I prefer the sleeper type. Pull up alongside you on the interstate and then open up the flood of speed on you. I suppose I could start working around the air intake area but how does that affect my warranty. To be honest with you I know at some point base on what I want to accomplish I would void my warranty but I’d like for it to be later rather and soon. I'd like to install dual pipes back from the cat, but without the noise. Can I use a larger diameter pipe? What's the largest I can use? And then there is the onboard computer. What mods can I make there?
