Void My Warranty???

Postby Finality2011 [OP] » Jul 28 2012, 5:14am

I am trying find out if the mods that I want for my 2011 Silverado 1500 will void the warranty or not. I have done an CAI and Borola muffler with stock pipe. I want a Diablosport InTune and a 4"/6" drop kit and aftermarket 20" wheels. Not sure if one or all of these things will void the warranty. Thanks!

The warranty will only be voided if they can prove the mod directly caused the problem. Make sure to return stock tune and remove the tuner because it will be easy to prove it caused a motor break for example if its in there.

they cant. remove your CAI to. If they say contaminates were the fault they will say its your aftermarket filter. If they see it they mite put a note on your history. and as far as they have to prove it. They only have to prove it in a court of law not to you. By the time that happens you will be walking to work for a long long time and be paying a lawyer. you can get the lawyers fees back but it mite be a couple of years.

The CAI and tuner will be your only issues. Personally I wouldn't spend the money on a CAI, a lot of them don't even pull in cold air and even if they do it's a very small HP gain. As for the tuner, just make sure to bring it back to stock settings before taking it in and you should be fine. I'm pretty sure only the 2012s log every time the ECU has been messed with.
