Anyone know why the 2014 2500 and 3500 models were excluded from the new generation trucks? Saw a 2014 3500 HD loaded at the dealer for $85K but it was the 2013 body style. When I asked why this was listed as a 2014 the dealer said the new body style only applies to 1500 series.
It's typical for the HD trucks to have the old body style 1-2 years after the light duty trucks get a redesign. They did that with the OBS vs NBS, and NBS to the NNBS. Not sure why they wait, but they do.
Don't forget, since 2011, the HD trucks have been upgraded everywhere but the body. So, the 2015 will have the new body/interior, but the running gear will carry over from 2011-14.
Waiting a year to do the HD and SUV upgrade is a GM tradition, but the twist of upgrading the HD running gear a few years prior to the body refresh is a new twist.
